This was the year of the iPad. In January we started out with a bang getting in 16,000 iPads that need to be unboxed, inventoried, put in cases, setup for individual students, and finally distributed to students. Going 1:1 iPad due to COVID was definitely a great thing for our students, but boy did it wear us out! By May we collected all of the devices and in August, we were back at it getting them all out again along with me documenting each deployment day on TikTok @EdTechLori. 2021 FLEW by...just like my reflection video...enjoy!

In 2020 we all Pivoted more than Ross did trying to get that couch up the stairs on Friends...PIVOT! Here's my ADE Reflection Video for 2020. The “teacher” side of social media is an interesting one. Here is my personal and highly scientific ranking of the big 4... 1. Teacher Twitter. Hands down the best ideas, the best dialogue, the best relationships, & the best resources. If you aren’t there. Go. Now. And if you aren’t sure how to start, click here to check out my tech tip on Getting Started with Twitter. Fave Follows
2. Teacher TikTok. Hilarious. Entertaining. And sometimes educational...depending on which creators you are able to find. Fave Follows
3. Teacher Instagram. Beware of the Teacher Pay Teacher brigade. If you can avoid them and the “too perfect” classrooms & resources you can find some hidden gems here. Just beware. Fave Follows
4. Teacher Facebook. I’m talking specifically about many of the educator Facebook groups. While I’m a member of many of them, they aren’t a place for positivity and growth (as some would say much like Facebook as a whole). Learn to leave or unfollow the groups that don’t bring you joy. If you are looking for great ideas & to grow...see Teacher Twitter above. Fave Follows
